Pastors (1849-date)

          The following list of Pastors was obtained from the 1999 FCC History book. The book does not contain the exact birth or death date for any Pastor. I tried to extract the closest dates and ages I could from the text. The First Congregational Church Web site reprints Chapter 1 of the book as an introduction to those who might be interested in purchasing a copy of it for $10.00 from the Church Office. Otherwise, that site concentrates on the Church as it pertains to members and friends today. This page, and this domain as a whole, contains a great deal of other historical information (albeit mostly music related), so this Pastor list will be maintained here unless a more appropriate place for it can be found.

(3) 1849-1876 Pastoral Dates came from a typed sheet found in the FCC Archives in the 1876 records (scan). The sheet is unsigned, so it is unknown who did this research, or what was the original source of this information. This sheet gives dates for Walter Thorpe, who had no separate section in the 1999 Book. He was only mentioned at the end of William Horace Marble's entry: "Our Church was next served briefly by Walter Thorpe, who was not an ordained minister, ..."
(4) Per the General biographical catalogue of Auburn Theological Seminary 1818-1918, he was not ordained until almost seven months after his period of service to our Church.
