- Wisconsin Jazz & Big Band Musicians Bibliography
(last updated .04-16-2008)
[Note: temporary working draft page with no public link. When it
is ready for public view, it will be renamed and moved.]
As the first page created in the
Wisconsin Musician Bibliographical Indexing Project,
this page lists every Jazz and Big Band name I have
found listed in a book. Note that, as of 1-30-2008, there are only
58 names below, out of the
208 names listed on my
Wisconsin Jazz Musicians
page, and another 20 names on my
Wisconsin Big Bands
page. The rest have never been mentioned in a book before.
"Book Code" = the permanently assigned code for each book listed on
the
Folk Music Bibliography page.
"Total" = the number of Wisconsin Jazz and/or Big Band Musicians
listed in this book
"DB" = a Discography Bibliography has been started for this
artist/group. Click on their name to see the list of album titles already
found in the books listed below. The goal of the
Wisconsin Musician Bibliographical Indexing Project
is to list the exact page(s) where you can find every title by every
listed artist/group that has been listed before in a book.
Page number(s) in bold print indicate that every Album
Title listed in this musician's book entry has been added to the list
of
Wisconsin Jazz or
Wisconsin Big BandDiscography Bibliography pages. Singles (78/45/CD)
are beyond the scope of this project. With just a few exceptions,
the only singles documented on this Web site
are ones I actually own.
The above books in publication date order, the same order as the columns,
left to right.
