#PDF -- "Ships of the Navy Stamp Album" -- complete 20 page scan (PDF/OCR)

This page lists World War II Poster Stamps from the "Ships of the Navy Stamp Album" produced by Hecker Products Corp. in 1942. The individual stamps are listed in order of the "No. #" that is printed on the stamp, which is also the order they are listed in the 7-1/2" x 4-3/4" album that was sold to house the stamps. I have not yet seen an empty album without any stamps stuck down in the unique blank place designated for each stamp, but I do have another album with all 32 stamps stuck in place.

The three albums I own also show that there must have been more than one edition or printing of the stamps. The albums are identical but there is more than one variety for some of the stamps.

Each blank space in the album notes the name of the ship, the "Stamp No." of the stamp, and a "Series" letter which only appears in the album. The three albums I own do not among them have blank spaces for all 32 stamps. In the albums I own and from scans of sold-out albums on the Web, I don't know yet what each Series stands for, but there are eight Series A-H, and four stamps in each Series.

The number on each stamp in each Series:
Series A -- 1, 8, 14, 25
Series B -- 3, 10, 15, 24
Series C -- 4, 11, 17, 23
Series D -- 2, 12, 22, 29
Series E -- 5, 21, 26, 30
Series F -- 6, 18, 27, 31
Series G -- 7, 19, 28, 32
Series H -- 9, 13, 16, 20

Four (4) stamps were included in each box of FORCE Toasted Wheat Flakes. I do not know if they were loose stamps or a sheetlet of 4, nor whether or not a complete sheet of 32 exists. The album states on page 2: "Copyright, 1942 Hecker Products Corp., Flour and Cereal Division, 88 Lexington Ave., New York, N.Y." Hecker was the producer of these Poster Stamps and FORCE Toasted Wheat Flakes cereal.

I have not yet seen any of these poster stamps pasted on any World War II era serviced covers.
