      Book codes are like Library Accession Numbers, in that the codes are assigned in the order the books are added to the Bibliography. Because these codes are cross-reference linked throughout the Folk Library Index, once assigned, they will not be changed or deleted. For example, #iv will always refer to the samre edition of the same book, no matter where the code appears on the website.
