      | Wisconsin Jazz Musicians | Wisconsin Big Bands |

This page lists books that include information about many different Jazz and Big Band recording artists and groups. - Opera Bibliography - Books which contain information about multiple artists in all other genres of music can be found on the Folk Music Bibliography page. Books about specific musicians, Bunny Berigan, Ben Sidran and others can be found on the Single Musician Bibliography page.
Note: This is not meant to be a complete list of every Jazz and Big Band book that exists. I leave that to others such as Eric ter Bals [Archive]. My list is only those I own and those I have actually seen in local Wisconsin libraries. I have started indexing every Wisconsin musician that appears in these books. If I have no personal access to a book so I can Index it, it won't be listed here.

New pages split off from my original Bibliography page

Questions: The title page of this book is blank. The copyright page is blank except for: "Cover Design and Lay-out: Toon van der Veegaete". Wikipedia says the book was published in 1984, but the Library of Congress says 1986. 1) Which is correct? 2) And why no title page and no other publication details of any kind other than what appears on the cover and the spine?
My copy is not the 800 page edition. It's only 388 pages and there is no index.

Several decades after it was published, the used copy I bought still has a tri-folded 8" x 13" "Additions & Corrections" single sheet, printed only on one side, tucked in the book: "Additions & Corrections" sheet scan. It is not dated and not signed, so it is unknown who created it. It is a photocopy of the original typed sheet, so more photocopies might still exist somewhere.
