This page lists the sources (periodicals and festival guides) which include detailed information about both current and disbanded Wisconsin Bluegrass Bands. My collection of two annually issued SPBGMA and TSBA (see below) Bluegrass Festival Guides started thanks to the late Karl Brandenburg. I purchased his 1980-1995 almost complete run of these guides at the Bluegrass Festival in Cross Plains, WI on 05-17-1997, my first Bluegrass Festival (Note). Most of the individual Wisconsin Bluegrass Band information found in these sources has been indexed and can be found on that page.

Personal note: The 05-17-1997 Cross Plains event was the first Bluegrass Festival I attended because it was the first time I ever saw any publicity in Oshkosh for any Bluegrass Festival anywhere in the state. The 1992 Madison Folk Festival was the first Wisconsin festival of any kind I heard about and attended.
