It's Fun for All at Reeve Grand Opening
A two-day grand opening celebration for the "new" UW Oshkosh student
union begins with a ribbon cutting at 12:30 pm, Friday, Feb. 8, 2002
and includes fun-filled activities for all ages from noon to 10 pm
Saturday Feb. 9, 2002.
The public is invited to all the events during the "Cruise the New U"
festival. All but two of the events are free. There will be free popcorn
and candy throughout Saturday.
The events on Saturday, Feb. 9 are:
- Make your own music video, noon to 6:30 pm
- Visit story land, all day
- Face and body painting, 12:30-4:30 pm
- Movies in the new theatre, 4 pm to midnight
- Caricatures, 1-5 pm
- Foods from around the world, all day
- Past, present and future of union and UW Oshkosh, 1:30-2:30 pm
- Reception for furniture artist Tom Loeser, 3-5 pm
- Create wax hands, 1-5 pm
- Pottery exhibit/sale, noon-5 pm
- Ice carving demonstration, 1:30 pm
- Presentations of Japanese culture, 12:30-2 pm
- Free popcorn and candy, all day

- 630 Amherst, band, 2:30 pm
