I have found no information at all about 1981-1997 nominees or winners. Except as noted, I do not know where these recording artists are from.

          In 2002, the R&B category was merged in with Urban, Scratch and Hip Hop. This Webmaster cannot identify which nominee from 2002 on belongs in which genre.
