Cachet Display Catalog: FDC Cachetmakers Index
This page displays First Day Covers with General Purpose (GP) cachets created by
Pavois (Stebbin) (SM Co.) (Milwaukee, WI) --
Myron F. McCamley (Portland, OR) --
and other unknown Cachetmakers. Most cachets use the same six uncopyrighted standard printer's cut design with different wording added by the Cachetmakers. All General Purpose cachets by Pavois I know about are also included on this page. Some designs displayed here were made for specific issues, but if the central design matches a GP, it is included for the sake of completeness. I have no scans of any other McCamley general purpose cachets. Misspelling found in print: (NOT Pavious)

Wanted: a 300 bpi / 600 pixel wide (or greater) .jpg scan of any unlisted cachet, and ALSO any cachet marked ***

I haven't yet figured out how to organize the Shield & Capitol cachets. Skip to Uncle Sam .

I haven't yet figured out how to organize the above Shield & Capitol cachets, but, for the following:
n0 increases by 10 when the design changes
n1 increases by 1 when the text changes
nn = without airmail border
nna = with airmail border
Note: If I find 10 or more different colors of Shield & Capitol cachets, every number below will have to be increased by 10.
(nnn) = I have full cover scans of this cachet on the noted U.S. Scott Catalog Numbers.
