This page lists links and their city of birth or known residence for the famous Wisconsin musicians or groups whose recordings are already well documented in print and will not be included in my forthcoming book, (ca. 2028), FolkLib Index: Wisconsin Discography. A new (as of 1-10-2008) Discography Bibliography page lists Wisconsin Recordings Documented in Print. As artists/groups are added to the new page, the links here will be changed to go to that page, and the Wisconsin cities where they lived at one time in their lives will be bolded to indicate the changed link.

  60. Jackie and Roy

Biographies and discographies of the above musicians can be found at:
(#ir) = Michael G. Corenthal, "The Illustrated History of Wisconsin Music: 1840-1990 - 150 Years of Melodies and Memories", 1991
(#iv) = Susan Masino, "Famous Wisconsin Musicians", 2003

Note: the book will include the above bibliography of all known discographies in print for the above musicians. If I can't find one anywhere in print, the recordings I know about will be listed. I will also list any recordings I know about which are not listed in any other known print source.

Exception = Those artists/groups who will have their discographies completely listed in my book, either because their discography has never been completely listed in print before (including all session players, existing formats and catalog numbers), or because there has never been a discography book specifically devoted to ALL Wisconsin musicians in their genre, Barbershop, Classical, etc. Currently, only Wisconsin Pop/Rock discographies exist, and none for any other genre.
