This page displays First Day Cover (FDC) Cachets for U.S. Scott #1827-1830 which I serviced within the 30 day period after the stamps were issued. All displayed covers, all marked "{A}", are in my personal collection. Except as noted, there are no commercially produced cachets: for example, baggage labels saved from our trip to the V.I. in 1971, UXC6 mint cards serived with 1827 and 802, pasted-on clippings from the then current St. Thomas newspaper I subscribed to, picture post cards also saved from 1971, etc. Also, except as noted, each FDC is unique, i.e., only one was serviced.

     #1827 -- Brain Coral (found in U.S. Virgin Islands)
     #1828 -- Elkhorn Coral (found in Florida)
     #1829 -- Chalice Coral (found in American Samoa)
     #1830 -- Finger Coral (found in Hawaii)

I bought these blanks and serviced them with single stamps. I did not keep track of which covers got which stamps. I can only find 11 of them, #1827 (3), #1828 (4), #1830 (4).
