Douglas Wallentine

Terms clarification: Regalia vs. Costume - Native clothing worn by
Native American Indians is called Regalia. The same Native clothing, if
worn by a Non-Native, is called a Costume. In usage, NEVER say Native
American Indians are wearing Native Costumes, they are wearing Regalia.
For another example, Douglas Spotted Eagle always appears in Native
Costume in performance and pictured on his recordings. "Regalia" is both
singular and plural, i.e. Regalias is not a valid word when referring to
Native clothing. This usage of the word is ignored by
Wikipedia.
