Over 570 Labels on these pages have links to the Wisconsin based Labels page (with their city/state/country location, if known) because they are based in Wisconsin, or they recorded at least one Wisconsin musician and are part of the Wisconsin Labelography project.
Note: I am a private collector indexing books I own, and
not a Library. I cannot respond to questions about information in these books,
nor supply photocopies of copyrighted entries in them.
Other Book Indexes on this site
[78, LP, 45, CD]- this is noted only for those print sources where the
format is inherent in the discographical content,
CMR04 (Russell)
lists almost all 78's with some mentions of LP & CD re-issues,
STK09 (Clee)
lists 45 recordings only, and
CLR59 (Osborne)
lists 45, EP and LP recordings.
{NFM91:150/AMG92:1141} - following an address, means every source has
the same identical address.
{EJN60:522} {CMR04:44} - by being listed separately, not immediately
following an address, this means the source has no address.
Interscope/Geffen/A&M ... Geffen (see: Interscope) - if a source lists
multiple Labels in one entry, separate entries were created here for the
second and subsequent Labels referring back to the entry for the first
one.
Checker (see: Argo) {EJN60:522} - means Checker has only a cross
reference entry in the named source, with no address.
CLR59:107 = Discographies or Record Company biography write-ups can be found on a bolded page, i.e. this source has more information about the Label than just its name and address.
