          All the musical recording artists listed on this page were either born, live, or have lived in Wisconsin.           This is done in a continuing effort to reduce the size of this page. As research progresses on my forthcoming book, (ca. 2028), FolkLib Index: Wisconsin Discography, many hundreds of Wisconsin recording artist names will be added to the Index. It is not realistic to list several thousand names, and links for them, all on this one page. If you are looking for a particular Wisconsin artist or group not listed on this page, select one of the Wisconsin Artists sub-pages above, or search for them by name. The eventual goal for this page is to list only: 1) those who have a discography page where all their links can be found (see Alford, B and Allen, Eddie below), 2) individuals who have at least one solo album and whose Genre, etc. or Location doesn't fit on one of the sub-pages above, and 3) groups which don't fit on one of the sub-pages above.

          "name - Discog and other links" - this artist/group has a separate Discography page and all their links have been moved there
          "Discog (no known recordings)" - this is a call for your help. Please write if you have details about any recordings by this artist/group (solo releases, session work, or on a various artists collection), and where they can be purchased, so they can be documented on this Web site, as well as listed in my book.

          5-05-2006 Note: As far as my discographies are concerned, artists who only have recordings on the Web, do not qualify as a "recording artist" until they appear on a physical LP, Cassette, CD or VHS/DVD video which exists in more than 100 identical copies, and either is, or at one time was, for sale to the public. When the Web site where their MP3 or other electronic files are stored is deleted, it will be as if that music never existed. I do not document ephemeral music like this.

          Please write if you know the real name for the following. Otherwise, these recording artist will not be mentioned in my book.
